Hello everyone,
I run #AskYele on twitter every Wednesday but, twitter
does not give me the leverage of writing out what I want to write, how I want
to write it so I have decided to have a blog where I can fully express myself
and put in videos as well to send out to you all.
I was speaking to a friend today and I identified the 4 most
important things that I always want to speak on and what I share with people
whenever I am asked what my core message is.
1.
1. Identify Who You Are.
You are absolutely distinct from everyone. You may look like
a family member, or even walk like someone you know, but, there is something different
about you. God is really smart. He does nothing without a real purpose and an
end in mind. Find out your uniqueness. It’s not external, it’s internal. It may
take some searching but its definitely doable. Have fun doing this as well. Don’t
take yourself too seriously that you miss out in the fun of getting to know
yourself better.
Humans have this somehow extreme attachment to being in some
form of pain to learn things about themselves. It’s really not painful. Don’t make
it more than it truly is. I would like to advise that you have a book where you
can document a lot of things you are discovering about yourself or you think
you have a capacity for. You might just be humored at the things your mind
comes up with
2. 2. Pursuit of Happiness
This is so philosophical so let me give you my version of
the term. Enjoy your life! With the recession going on in the world right now,
stress and the hustle spirit is the definitely the game now. So PLEASE don’t
kill yourself trying to get that paper or getting a head way. Enjoy the simplicity
and the beauty of being alive and not just alive but healthy and alive. Rekindle
past relationships, get out more, and make new friendships. Smile.
3.
3. Social Responsibility
You need to think people. Whatever you feel or think you are
designed for or you are good at has to have people as its end consumers. You cannot
afford to be the me, myself and I person at all. Help in whatever way you can. Make
someone happy. Do a community service. Give someone a fresh start. Be responsible
4.
4. Accountability
I think the reason we have many sociopaths and psychopaths
in the world today is because people are left alone with their thoughts and
actions. You are not an isolated island. That’s why you were born in the unit
of a family. You need people that would let you know that they believe in you
and can also step you down a notch when they know you’re heading to
destruction. You have them around you, identify them and maximize their relationship
with you. Be accountable to yourself as well. You cannot set yourself on a part
of destruction and not tell yourself the truth
So you see, I could not have put all this on twitter with
140 characters per tweet!
So its time to UNLEARN, LEARN AND RELEARN.
Thank you
Yele.
I personally love that part of accountability. Thanks pastor B. Really blessed
